Our Woman Crush this Wednesday is none other than the gorgeous and talented Omotola Jalade Ekeinde.
Why do we love her?
Since her Nollywood film debut in 1995, this leading actress has starred in over 300 films. She was introduced to acting when she escorted her friend for an audition and her first role was in the 1995 movie, Venom of Justice, directed by Reginald Ebere. She has received several high-profile awards not just in Africa but also worldwide. In 2013, she was honored in Time Magazine’s list of 100 Most Influential people in the world alongside other notable figures like Michelle Obama, Kate Middleton and Beyonce.
Omotola has amassed an enviable fan base as she was the first African celebrity to get 1million likes on her Facebook page. In 2014, she received the prestigious honor from the Nigerian government as a Member of the Order of the Federal republic.
She is happily married to Captain Ekeinde and they have been together since 1996. The couple has four beautiful children. She has obviously trained her children to be stars just like she is; her first son is now a producer while her second daughter is a Knorr teen brand ambassador.
One interesting thing that a lot of people may not know is that Omotola is a musician. She launched her first album titled GBA in 2005 with songs like “Naija Lowa” and “The things you do to me”. She also launched her own reality show in 2012 on Africa Magic entertainment called Omotola: The real me. This made her the first Nigerian celebrity with her own reality show.
Apart from being an award-winning actress and having a lovely family, she is also a philanthropist. She has a foundation and has taken part in a lot of humanitarian activities. She is also a United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) ambassador and an Amnesty International activist.
Another thing that endears us to the actress is her sense of style. We absolutely love the way she combines her outfits in the most fashionable way. She constantly serves us chic, classy and sexy outfits. It is obvious that her sense of style has evolved over the years. She often makes mention of the use of stylists on her Instagram page and this has really worked for her. She appears in some of the most beautiful dresses at red carpet events and is true to her name as Real Omo Sexy. You would not believe that she has four teenage children with her gorgeous body.
