Jumia’s art contest which took place from the 13th of August 2018 to the 19th of August 2018 was a very tight contest. We received hundreds upon hundreds of entries from very talented kids. Out of this entries, ten were selected, put up on our social media platforms, and you voted for the best 3 among these ten.
These are your winners:
1. Chukwu Immanuella Uloma is a beautiful and smart 13-year-old girl. She attends Redeemer’s International High School Asaba. She says that colors inspire her a lot, and that she always looks forward to opportunities to showcase her passion for it through drawing and painting creatively. She loves school and it’s activities very much. When asked who her best teacher at school was she said that it was Mrs Onome her civic education teacher. She especially enjoys sitting in the cultural and creative art classes. Immanuella dreams of becoming a lawyer and an artist when she becomes older.
2. Coming in 2nd place is Boladale Michael Oluwasegun a talented 15-year-old boy that attends B-gold Schools. His best subject in school is physics, and his chemistry teacher Miss Anu is his best teacher. In his own word, he says “I got inspired to create the logo due to my interest in arts and drawings. I taught myself how to draw and design. This reason is what contributed to me wanting to become an engineer because I have ambitions to design and make better machines for the future.”
3. 13-year-old Asuquo Daniel Bassey who attends Eclos College, Ogba, Lagos comes in 3rd . His favorite subject is Mathematics and Mr Ayodele Solomon is his best teacher. Daniel wants to be an Architect when he becomes older. He acknowledges that the flight of objects brought out the sense of freedom in his design and made his design spectacular.
