Nintendo, in conjunction with The Pokémon Company, has just aired a 20-minute live-stream during which several announcements were made that are sure to please Pokémon fans.
The first of these is of the availability of a new game for the Nintendo Switch called Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX. This is a remake of a pair of Pokémon games that originally appeared on the Nintendo Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS in 2006, in which players get to take on the roles of some of their favorite Pokémon in an RPG-styled dungeon-crawling adventure. The game launches on the 6th of March, but a demo for it would be available in the Nintendo eShop later today.
The second and biggest announcement was for two new pieces of downloadable content for the Pokémon Sword & Shield games on Nintendo Switch, The Isle of Armor and The Tundra Crown. Both expansions promise to add new content in the form of 200+ Pokémon from past games, 2 new explorable regions, new customization options, evolutions and lots more. Both expansions would be available through an expansion pass for $29.99, the first of which would be released in June 2020, with the second following sometime in the fall.
Lastly, the previously-announced Pokémon Home service, which would allow users to store and transfer their Pokémon between compatible games and devices, is expected to launch next month.
