To gather the leaders in the Tech Industry and tech enthusiasts alike, Techplus held this year’s conference and exhibition themed “An Intelligent Future” which lasted from July 6-8th at Landmark Event Centre, Lagos.
It was a great time at the conference cum exhibition. Tech startups and a host of various tech-related companies displayed their goods and services. The conference segment featured over 90 speakers who gave keynote speeches on a wide range of topics relating to industry trends. Over a thousand people were in attendance in this year’s edition to experience the latest trends in the industry.
We hosted a Panel Discussion titled: Ecommerce: A Tool for Economic Development or a Failed Experiment. It was moderated by Jumia’s Joy Hinmikaye. Manning the panel was Jumuoke Alawode-James from Television Continental, Tunde Ajetomobi from Bounce.ng and Yemi Adepetu of Guardian Newspaper. The discussion also featured a question and answer segment where the audience got deep insights the brilliant trio.
Then there was our Jumia-themed booth. It featured a Help Desk and a physical Wheel of Fortune. Conference attendees got the chance to take a lucky spin and win free prizes instantly. Prizes won included shopping vouchers, Microwave oven, laundry iron and a home theatre set!
Overall, it was a successful outing!
