7 Wonder Women; Celebrating the Empowered Woman

Author:

‘Make it Happen’ is the theme this year for the International Women’s Day. From time immemorial, there have been millions of campaigns for women empowerment all around the world following the rampant abuse and constant relegations of women in the past and unfortunately even up till now.

Globally, more women are now taking up the challenge against all odds to ensure they live a well-meaning life and also to help other women. The International Women’s Day 2015 is to celebrate the woman who makes things happen, who will not take the back seat and go for what she wants; a woman who is empowered beyond vulnerability and a penchant refusal to be a victim of circumstance.

Here at Jumia, we decided to celebrate women who are ‘Making it Happen’ in thier sphere of influence. Meet woman N0 1, Anu Adasolum;

I believe this has the knock on effect of ensuring Jumia is able to continually improve on the level of service it offers customers in terms of convenience (speed) and product availability.
