Friday, September 11 was an explosive day, as authorities in the field of Digital marketing gathered for the Unscripted event organized by Pulse Nigeria and Insight communications. This was the maiden edition and there were six panelists, namely Rich Tanksley, CEO Pulse Nigeria, Bertille Guitton, Head of Communications and PR Jumia, Ebi Atawodi, General Manager Uber, Olatomide Asher, Senior Strategist Insight, Folake “Steaze” Johnson, Senior Copyright Insight, Segun Martins, Head of Digital Insight. The General Manager and COO of Insight, Feyi Olubodun, served as the moderator.
The purpose was to try and define digital marketing and how best to use it in an environment which is not yet fully digital. The panelists discussed on how to reconcile physical offline marketing with digital marketing. There were also discussions on the evolution of digital marketing and the uniqueness of each social media channel. Hopefully, the discussions and solutions would be put into good use in order to benefit the Digital marketing sphere of Nigeria.
