Battle Ground: HTC One M8 vs Sony Xperia Z3

Sounds gong! Ladies and Gentleman, we bring to you the battle for supremacy between the HTC One M8 and the Sony Xperia Z3. The Battle ground is the Jumia Lounge and we have the referee of the match as yours truly. Let the battle begin!

Round 1: Design and Build
The Xperia Z3 comes in with a classic styling glass and aluminum design to cushion wear and tear. With lasting dust and water proof protection.
The M8 on the other hand is a little heavier than the Xperia, with its round edges and uni-body aluminum design.
The fact that the Xperia Z3 is thinner and lighter, as well as dust and waterproof capability, gives it the objective edge so Xperia Z3 wins round 1!maxresdefault (3)

Round 2: Display
The Sony Xperia Z3 has an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16M color. It houses a 5.2 inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.
The HTC One M8‘s 5 inch screen and 1920×1080 resolution confers on it a crisp, vibrant, stunning design with improved contrast ratio and viewing angles.
In the end it is impossible to pick a winner here because they both have crisp clear display. Call it a draw.

Round 3: Storage
The HTC One M8 and the Sony Xperia Z3 come with 16GB storage capacity and an SD card slot that allows you to mount an additional 128GB. Yet another stalemate.

Round 4: Camera
The Xperia Z3 offers a 20.7 Mp camera that captures video up to 2160p at 30fps, 1080p at 60fps, and 720p at 120fps. It’s also an HDR video camera. Around the front there is a 2.2Mp webcam.
The HTC One M8 has a HTC Ultra Pixel Duo Camera including a 5Mp front camera with wide angle lens. The phone’s pixel makes it best suited to low-light situations. The dual-focus feature is an interesting feature. Sadly video quality is poor.
It is a close-run thing but the Xperia Z3 camera is one of the best around. So Sony Xperia wins Round 4.

Round 5: Pricing
When it comes to pricing, the HTC One M8 is m than the Sony Xperia Z3. The HTC One M8 is 125k while the Sony Xperia Z3 is 130k. It is only logical it that the M8 wins this round. So yaaay! The HTC One M8 wins Round 5!

End of Battle: Verdict

They gave a closely contested fight. Both are well built and powerful, fast and with great displays. But in terms of camera and build, the Z3 has the upper hand. But when it comes to pricing, which is a major factor to consider when buying a phone, the M8 is highly considered.
