Google has revealed close to a dozen games coming to its video game streaming service, Stadia. The announcements were made yesterday during its Stadia Connect livestream. The games represent a good mix of small indies as well as huge Triple A titles. This includes the popular battle royale game, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, which was shadow dropped during the broadcast.
Another Triple A game that was announced was Doom Eternal, the highly-anticipated sequel to the 2016 first-person shooter, Doom. But arguably the biggest announcement that was made during the livestream, at least as far as Star Wars Fans like myself were concerned, was the arrival of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order this fall. The third-person action game was released on other platforms in November last year. Other EA titles coming to the game streaming service include FIFA and Madden.
Google also sought the opportunity to reiterate the fact that Stadia now has a free tier, as well as a 2-month free trial for its Pro tier, which nets subscribers some free games every month. So subscribers can grow their libraries on the service by either amassing the free monthly games on the Pro tier, or choosing to buy games outright on the Stadia store.
