Nokia XL

The popular tagline for the Nokia XL states ‘Go Xtra Large with the new Nokia XL’ and although this is deserved with respect to its big size it ironically could very well have been ‘Go Xtra Small’ this time with respect to the price and the huge number of features that have been fit into this compact phone. The Nokia XL has debuted hot on the heels of its highly successful predecessor, the Nokia X, to further prove that Nokia has effectively made its comeback. Nokia enthusiasts might argue that they never even left. Whichever side you fall on the conclusion still remains; Nokia has struck gold with this one.

The Nokia XL is a mobile powerhouse which has the potential to be the most popular entry level Android enabled phone in the market. It more or less is the hero which was sent to correct the little flaws of the Nokia X such as the lack of a front camera, camera flash, a more long lasting battery and more. The Nokia XL has a big and vivid display screen, dual-sim capability, a 5 megapixel main camera as well as remarkable Nokia Fastlane feature.

KEY FEATURES:

Design:

The Nokia XL is faithful to the Nokia X design which is pretty much a Lumia type frame covered in a plastic shell that never fails to deliver a premium feel. The Nokia XL however boasts a 5inch screen with a thickness of 10.9mm. It has one capacitive ‘back’ key which is one of the few surviving features of the Asha series that has made it into the Nokia X era. This inspiration of a mobile phone is available in Bright Green, Orange, Cyan, Yellow, Black and White to fit every taste and personality.

Operating System and Connectivity:

The Nokia XL runs on an Android 4.1.2 Jellybean OS and still holds on to the Windows tiles interface in which users of recent Nokia phones have now grown happy and accustomed to. The connectivity is very impressive as it supports two sims, 3G data, Bluetooth, USB v2.0 and Wifi. Thrillingly the phone can also be used as a Wifi hotspot and as such the phone can be used as a modem.

Camera:

The Nokia XL comes with a much improved 5 mega pixels rear camera with flash and a 2 mega pixel front camera. The camera is equipped with autofocus, face detection and panorama which are indeed the perfect features for the perfect pictures.

Others:

The extra pieces which make this phone the perfect masterpiece includes an FM radio, 4gig internal memory which can be expanded with a 32gid memory card, HTML browser, Nokia Fastlane, document viewer, photo editor, predictive text input and a Li-lon 2000 mAh battery.

The Nokia XL is proof that Nokia must have listened to what the customers asked for and have ultimately delivered. It is the ideal phone for a user who is looking for an Android enabled large screen phone that would fit into a small budget. It transcends all other close competitors it has been compared with and is definitely a must have for those looking to break new grounds and make new friends.
