Many people have their opinions of who should win this title and for all the comments and arguments that have ensued or will continue to ensue, Ronaldo stated his reasons for not wanting to dribble any longer.
Ronaldo made clear his decision saying that Goals help win trophies but dribbling is just for mere sport. This was in an interview while he was still on a goal drought.
His decision to score crucial goals and sacrifice for team glory was what led him to this title. All of you that always criticise Ronaldo for being so proud and egoistic.

Judging by the stats of last season, not this season, last season, I will pick Cristiano Ronaldo above Messi.
This is not about skills and dribbles; it is about team victory and hardwork. Ronaldo is hardworking and it worked well for him. I would not deny being a Madrid fan before Ronaldo came in, neither will I deny being a Ronaldo fan as well.
But do we need to still debate this? The guy is the best in the world and it is confirmed.
I don’t know what this new season holds for Ronaldo. I don’t know what trophies Madrid will win or not. But let’s celebrate the Greatest of All Time. The Ballon d’Or winner.

The guy is good. I can’t watch Ronaldo and sleep unlike Messi, though he’s more gentle than him. When he left United he left me with tears. My disappointed soul can’t help but follow him till now.
