Hope y’all having a good week so far. I am back with my weekly event roundup in Lagos Aka Las Gidi. For those that read our last week’s post, you would remember that we dedicated this month to the great Prof Wole Soyinka because the remarkable Legend was born this month, infact his birthday falls during this weekend. I need not tell you that a lot of din din has been cooking up for his big day including plays organised in Lagos this weekend to celebrate his big day. Like i said he is a legend, one a lot of us look up to as a mentor.

Sunday 14th ‘A Harvest with Wole Soyinka‘ at Terra Kulture, Lagos
Performing Arts studio is back with The Jero Plays. The two short plays about Brother Jeroboam, the rather less than holy West African “beach divine” created by Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka. In this original comedy, the charlatan preacher, burdened by a “cross” known as the daughter of Eve uses Christian superstition for his own salvation. In the sequel, the profit minded “Prophet” thwarts a government attempt to cleanse the beach of all the dubious brethren who ply their trade there.
