I was a tired banker full of stress when I got a phone call asking that i come for an interview (3rd May 2012) at Ikoyi, Lagos. I wanted a new experience, something exciting, interesting, although I had my skepticism about start-ups.
I started off as the first Customer Service agent, had nice, wonderful bosses who helped me grow into the confident staff I am today. I learnt a lot, how to grow a company within a couple of weeks.
We started the business manually, nothing was automated I am very happy I gained all of this experience and knowledge because I can now reminisce and be proud of the lady I have become/ After all it is a rare honour to have experienced the Jumia journey for four years.
My most memorable experience in Jumia would be the great team-spirit, enthusiasm and passion as well as bond shared with my colleagues I recall leaving the office one rainy night, only to get a call saying the work had not finished. This was about 11.15 pm…
